apartment inspiration.

Since moving into a bigger better place, I have been feverishly searching for "inspiration." My style is constantly evolving. It is so hard to pin down what I want my interior to look like. I envy any decorator or interior aficionado that can pick a strong design concept, then actually stick to it. My fashion is always fluid or should I say fleeting?? On top of my wavering design sense I have a S.O. that is very practical and traditional.... So armed with my non existent budget I set out to define what exactly I wan't our home to FEEL like. Even if I'm not sure what it will end looking like, I can piece together a common theme from these designs.
fresh tropical modern

i love the flamingo pillows and huge photo on the wall. S.O. would die if we had a pink couch. but i love it.

this home of blogger honey & fizz is to die for. The ghost chairs and dark floors in the dining room are perfect.

black and white color scheme, check. glam to the max, check. natural easy accents, check check check! I mean really, can it get any better?

This is Karlie Kloss's home designed by Nate Berkus, who can do no wrong. **sighing enviously**

the idea of a green velvet couch is insane but I definitely could not keep an orchid alive.

Not sure where I first saw this picture, though I know the animal print pillows are right up my alley.

not only does erica brechtel have my dream job she has completley styled her home. its goooorgeous.

Stay tuned for round two. :)

happy 4th.

If I could choose a chic 4th of July ensemble all expenses paid this would be it:
These boyfriend jeans by asos are perrrffeect, not too distressed not too baggy just right!
To keep it from looking all shabby and no chic top the distressed jeans with a sleek peplum top by theory
the piece de resistance would be these STUNNING saint laurent red sandals. seriously could it get any better? no the answer is no.

maybe add on a nude or beige leather bag, a couple silver bracelets and you are good to go. i don't know if I could manage these heels from parade to fireworks but the outfit is definitely to die for.

resort roundup 2014

So I had an amazing labor intensive post almost ready to go up when my computer took a fall and completely bit the dust. While this news is saddening its actually a blessing in disguise because I pulled my old Macbook Pro (which had an unfortunately had a huge cup or lemonade poured all over it) out of the closet to see if I could sell it... Decided to plug it in to see what would happen, it turned on! Seriously I could cry I'm so excited. All in all my crappy windows computer is dead but my beautiful unibody Macbook Pro is still alive :)

So resort post coming soon!!
